Certain council persons are constantly going 10-100.

Hmmm... let's see.... city law directory has already read the charter and told the
Mayor that council has no authority to hire for this position, only to hire its own
clerks.

The Mayor sits on the board of control, so Gillam and Tarpley are NOT gonna get
that $40,000 for outside legal aid.  LET THEM RAISE THEIR OWN MONEY IF THEY
WANNA THROW TANTRUMS AND FIGHT THE CITY CHARTER OVER SOMETHING SO
ABSURDLY SMALL AS HIRING FOR A POSITION THAT HAS A HEAD COUNT OF "ONE".

The more the Mayor stands up to these self-serving idiots and wins, the more it
tickles me pink and makes them look bad.

;D

The reporter makes it appear as though there is only one item on the agenda.

As usual, other important items are not mentioned.

SEE LINK FOR AGENDA.

The battle rages on between Gillam and Tarpley vs. the Mayor and Law Director and it will not end until Gillam and Tarpley either get their way or this session of Council comes to an end and they are no longer factors.

Both Gillam and Tarpley have been thorns in the sides of the Mayors all year ... malcontents who wanted to place themselves above the duly elected Mayor, yet did absolutely nothing for the wards that they were elected to represent.

Without any question, if Youngstown is to move forward, it will only be accomplished once Gillam and Tarpley are gone.

As to the position of "Plaza Director", it would be better for all concerned if that position were abolished and the duties placed in the office of the Parks and Recreation Department where it rightfully belongs., but even if it were not even that would shut Gillam and Tarpley up.
