The Republicans have been the ones who have been doing the compromising.  Their proposal:No specific spending cuts and raise taxes for those making over $1,000,000.  Where is the president's compromise?

With all the yammering and media hype over a fiscal cliff, letters went out that those on Social Security would be receiving a 1.7% INCREASE in their Social Security checks.

The 24/7 news channels have been harping on the fiscal crisis for months without getting right down to any absolute specifics as to EXACTLY how it would impact Senior Citizens to the extent that they are so busy talking over each other that the only way that a person can make any sense out of what they are saying is to read the transcripts of the programs once they are posted online.

Is there a fiscal problem? Absolutely, of this there is no question, and Congress is going to have to deal with it sooner rather than later, but we all know that the House of Representatives is so busy trying to reap revenge on the President that they are willing to allow America to go into default rather than reach an agreement with the President that both sides could live with, and anyone who says any differently is nothing but a bald faced liar, because too many House Republicans have made it absolutely clear that there is no way that they would compromise with the President too many times to think any differently.

It's the Republican way or else with absolutely no compromise, they say, knowing full well that if this country goes into default, their future as a viable political party is at stake.

Are they willing to take the risk? That is the question that will be answered in the days to come.
