Was working late at our store in Poland Village when in walks Jacob Harver.  I asked him who would be best for Mayor, he quickly responded "Hagen."

George M. McKelvey is an American politician. A Democrat, he served two terms as Mayor of Youngstown, Ohio, from 1998 to 2005. Prior to serving as mayor, he served two terms as the Treasurer of Mahoning County. He has also been a teacher, school administrator and city council member in Youngstown.[1]
In 2004, he broke ranks with his Democratic party to endorse Republican President George W. Bush for a second term.[2]
In March 2008, McKelvey was named a U.S. Observer with the International Fund for Ireland.[1]

George is a regular sub for WKBN 570 talk shows for several years and he has a strong vision for Youngstown's future and is for a strong police department with zero tolarance for crime, and while he is a Democrat, he works great with Republicans.

If you will recall, some folks took exception with his support of President Bush when he was Mayor.

He would be a no nonsence Mayor.

Youngstownshrimp

I know George and I voted for him, but I really have not sat down with him and talked vision, so this is what I do not know about George.

We want George
We want George

We want George!

Who is John McNally?
He is a lawyer and has been in politics for awhile now.  Has he shook the Valley?  Not really except maybe when he was indicted.  Did he push for JFS to relocate out of the abandoned Eastside to fill up the old hospital?  He does without a doubt have track record locally, does that make him a future great Mayor, or does he have business experience to take advantage of the energy industry?  I for one don't know.  Who else out there wants to be Mayor?

Only John McNally has filed so far.

Name some of the other people who will probably file for the 2013 primary election.

Youngstown at the doorstep to great reindustrialization must be careful who it's next Mayor is.
Let the debate begin, who that has been mentioned in the press can lead Youngstown in it's last chance at greatness and prosperity?
