i listened to the rep conv on npr 88.5 last nite. the npr hosts never gave their personal opinions but th allowed the inds who were being interviewed allow their say without butting in duing the interviews. they even interviewed a local delegate dave johnson the owner of summitville tile. i loved clint eastwood monologue with pres obama. i will do it again with the dem conv.

I watched the convention as a live stream on the RNC website.  No commentary whatsoever, just the speakers and the performers.  There is nothing the commentators could say that was worth listening to.

Like I said Dennis, I don't need a gaggle of self styled commentators, of either persuasion telling me what I already heard with my own two ears. Thanks to wonderful teachers throughout my school years, I'm quite capable of properly digesting what I hear, and I know full well that there is a grand gulf between party conventions and the actualities of real time in office.

What is said on the stump more often than not due to unforseen events has a way of becoming an impossable dream and little more ... who could have predicted 9/11 or the great recession ahead of time? Presidents come into office with grand dreams most of which can never be fulfilled.

Please do watch FOX News for an ultra right wing conservative bias during the Democratic Convention next week....it will be tit for tat....

The liberal bias on the part of the news media was painfully evident during the GOP convention, and only C-SPAN just let the convention be the convention and did their commentary before and after. NBC/MSNBC totally distorted the convention in a deliberate move to black out any and all minority speakers. Even all the commentators were ultra left wing with no attempt to even have a single token conservative.

First of all, I do not need a gaggle of talking head commentators telling me what I heard from the speakers which is why I watched the convention coverage on C-SPAN and will also watch the DNC convention on C-SPAN because you can bet your bottom dollar that the other networks will only have liberal commentators treating the festivities as if they were being held in Heaven. I might take a quick look at Fox to see how they are covering the DNC convention, but even that's a "might" at this point.

CNN for it's part made a half hearted attempt at unbiased coverage.
