Stambaugh Academy

I thought it was Heritage Academy.  I could be wrong, though.  I'm bad with names.

Yes, the new school on Donald Ave. is a charter school.  I looked over the mailer they sent carefully (I have a first-grade son who isn't doing that well at the new West.)  It's just hard to tell with charter schools, if they really will be a better place than the public school.  I don't know enough about them to have an informed opinion.


I need to make some decisions about my son's education in the near future.  I'd love to hear from teachers and parents who have experience with the education provided by charter schools and the impact they have on the communities they serve.

They have some great faculty members at the new West. The guidance department has been really helpful, but I fear that my son is still not getting what he needs there.

Many homes on the west side received a mailing announcing the opening of Stambaugh Academy on Donald Avenue.

Is Stambaugh Academy a charter school?
