City Drags Feet - Traffic Survey Needed

The City of Youngstown will do it when somebody get hurt or dies---That is always the way it works---Why do something to prevent something bad from happening--(that would make sense-)-instead the good old mentality is wait until something happens... :'( :'( :-X

The WRTA has asked the City of Youngstown to conduct a traffic survey on lower Mahoning Avenue but the city has refused so far.

The Problem
The WRTA feels that a bus-actuated traffic signal is needed on lower Mahoning Avenue so that WRTA buses could safely pull onto Mahoning from the bus garage located at 640 Mahoning Avenue.  It is difficult for long slower moving buses to safely enter the east/west 35MPH traffic flow on Mahoning Avenue.  The traffic signal would only be activated when a bus needed to drive onto Mahoning Avenue from the WRTA property.  Conducting the traffic survey is the first step needed to move this project forward.
