It's a real shame to see this neighborhood go downhill.... when I was in high school,
one of my teachers used to live on Rush Boulevard above Midlothian - the neighborhood
was very beautiful and quite safe back in those days.

It sounds like the the folks in the neighborhood need to band together and demand
action - maybe a meeting with the new Mayor is in order?

There have been 8 home burglaries within 2 weeks between Rush Blvd, Indianola Ave, Midlothian Blvd, and Shirley Rd.  during the daylight hours.
News channels won't report them unless a victim is willing to go on camera(face not shown).  Those we've spoken to are too afraid to go on TV.  They won't even leave their homes because they're afraid it'll happen again.  They feel like they've been watched and targeted.

This is YPD's responsibility to alert the public about this so that we can be aware and more vigilant.  We need to watch out for our elderly neighbors too.  Seems like the new administration is afraid to give Ytown a "bad name".

These terrorists and thugs need to know that they won't be able to prey upon the citizens of Ytown.  If YPD doesn't announce the rash of burglaries, they are adding to the problem and giving the slugs a free pass.

Is it true that there is only 1 patrol unit for that section of the city per shift?
Where did the money from the tax for "more policemen" end up?

There is another crime wave on the south side.  Many homes have been burglarized.  The newspaper is not reporting this.
