"Fine and Performing Holiday Arts" Festival
December 18 and 19, 2010
Call for Visual and Performing Artists up to the Age of 26

The Art Outreach Gallery at the Eastwood Mall Complex in Niles, Ohio announces a regional Call for Visual and Performing Artists up the age of 26 for the first annual Fine and Performing Holiday Arts Festival scheduled December 18 and December 19, 2010 at the Eastwood Expo Center.

This creative two-day Fine and Performing Holiday Arts Festival will bring participants and patrons of the 'arts' to experience our exceptional creative youth population. The Eastwood Expo Center will come alive with two stages alternating performances ranging from dance routines, dramatic interpretations, poetry reading, choral and instrumental music choreography and headliner acts (to be confirmed). There will be a designated area to view student original film clips. Young visual artists of all media will display and sell their art works. Some will even set up demonstration areas for their Valley audience.
The Art Outreach Gallery Board of Directors strongly believe that an 'arts' education, including dance, drama/theatre, music (choral and instrumental), and all forms and media of visual art is essential for the basic education of all students in Ohio. We, at the Gallery, continue to design and promote innovative and exemplary 'arts' education programs for our Valley children and students up to the age of 26. Our first annual Fine and Performing Holiday Arts Festival will enhance and support the implication of newly, emerging research in the 'arts' on the relationship between the development of intelligence and aesthetic experience. We have created a new venue for local children and student development highlighting creative experience in all of the 'arts' under one roof. Our community 'arts' holiday festival will form partnerships with professionals to display, perform and discuss with our participants and patrons how quality learning experiences, from this two day venue, contribute to the enthusiasm to appreciate and empower 'arts' education and to foster creative artistic intelligence with and to our Valley youth. It is also our hope to show ethnic diversity among our creative participants. The Art Outreach Gallery will continue to help others understand what the 'arts' contribute to the learning capabilities of all young people.

The Gallery is located next to Daffin's Candies, along the concourse between Macy's and Sear's. Gallery hours are Friday 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Saturday 1:00pm to 9:00pm, and Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. The gallery is free and open to the public.
