"How to make Deconstruction profitable"

Now that the wanton mudslinging and personal attacks have been quashed here, maybe we can move forward in our focus to fix this town.  Novotny seems to concentrate more now on work than cyberspace, but since he is our employee, maybe we can help with what he was hired to do.

The Mahoning County Jobs and Family Services has thousands of clients who are required by State and Federal law to perform training hours.  This has been established back in 1996 when Welfare reform was written into law.  Now understand that this program works and examples of its success are many but to name a few, one merely has to drive into Poland and take a look at Peterson Park and the Reed Memorial Stairway.  These public projects were constructed with WEP trainees (Work Experience Program), who performed their hours on these projects.

So, since the present Deconstruction projects are not cost effective, lets see if we can help here.  If the City contacts the Mahoning JFS (they can use the help) and ask to become a WEP site, they can begin to receive trainees who must fullfill hours.  These trainees can learn to salvage the material and provide the labor needed to make deconstruction cost effective and maybe profitable.  Just think of the WPA in the past depression, their work still can be found today in old infrastructure.

It is not enough to reference and point at Kudos from other bureaucratic agencies to justify Deconstruction's existence, the only "A" on the report card is going to be real numbers, you get the "A" only if the project becomes truly a profitable concern.
