I don't believe anyone is against Green technology. Fact is most understand it is a good thing. The objections are against Government run and/or subsidized green energy. Of course there are some who somehow view this as a good thing.

Interesting that the first topic mentioned is "energy auditing".  If the Cap and Trade legislation becomes law, there will be a lot of jobs in "energy auditing" because every house in America will eventually be required to have this done. In fact, you won't be able to sell your house without the energy upgrades the government inspector says you need. Just wait until American learns the truth about this.

Other than inspecting homes there won't be many jobs. You see, no where in the world is there an interest in wind and solar unless there are big government subsidies available. Just take a look at the sixty plus thousand jobs lost in the so called "Green Industry" in Spain because the government can no longer afford the subsidies.

Marie DaBelko, coordinator of the Workforce Development & Continuing Studies at Kent State Trumbull, and Tony Davis, coordinator of green and renewable energy programs, are the main speakers for a Clean Energy Network Meeting in Trumbull County.  DaBelko will explain the programs at Kent State Trumbull that relate to green and renewable energy topics, such as energy auditing, green building basics for real estate professionals and contractors, design and installation of alternative energy systems (solar and wind) and sustainability training. Davis will use distance learning equipment to demonstrate how an online course operates by way of the student's personal computer and Internet connection. Both will explain course requirements and fees. In addition, a representative from Trumbull County One Stop will answer questions about training grants and other services available to area residents, especially displaced worker programs.
