There are plans to plant a couple trees in front of DeYor.

I'm pretty sure there was a tree planted in the center of each of these grates.  Whatever is growning there now is actually coming up through the slits in the grate as well as the center.  After another growing season, it will be very difficult to remove the grates.

I don't know why another tree was planted in this same spot.

I think it started out as a weed.  But I like it much better than bare earth.

I've noticed this mysterious plant growing through the grates in front of the DeYor Building on the corner of West Federal and Symphony Place.

What type of plant is it?
