Large flare in the sky this morning

Did anyone else see the sky light up this morning, around 7:15am?  It was MUCH brighter than the orange glow on the clouds from the lights downtown.  I was expecting to hear/feel a boom, but there wasn't one.

I was walking north on S. Lakeview and, from my point of view, the flare was to the NNW.

Any idea what it was?
