Hi All:  we did do some preliminary work this afternoon between 2:30 pm and 5 pm after the rain cleared up. We had about 10 volunteers and at least 4 of them participate on this forum.

We got all the beautiful trees lined up at the houses and have planted three of them. We need to dig about 17 more holes but, believe it or not, it's a lot of fun when there are lots of people doing this. It is a great feel-good event in so many ways--achieving beauty, interacting with old friends and new, learning about a different neighborhood, enjoying the fall weather, satisfaction in completing a worthwhile task, etc, etc., etc.. Please see if you can join us even if it's just to say hello!

Anyone in the time bank will earn credit.

Volunteers are needed to dig 17 holes and plant trees along E. Midlothian between the freeway and Sheridan Avenue.
