Inconsiderate Bus Driver

Another inconsiderate driver.

This Saturday morning it was very cold in the Federal Station bus shelters.  A bus driver sat inside the heated bus while texting on her smart phone.  She did not open the doors for several minutes.

It happened again.

With the bus doors closed, a driver sat in his air conditioned bus eating a sandwich while passengers sat in the hot bus shelter.

Most bus drivers pull up next to a bus shelter at Federal Station and then leave the bus to go into the drivers section of the station for a bathroom break.

Happened this week
A driver pulled next to a bus shelter.  All the passenger departed from the bus.  The driver closed both doors but remained in the air conditioned bus while he talked to someone using his smart phone.  Passengers waiting for the bus had to remain in the shelter in 90 degree heat.  The bus driver finally opened the bus doors one minute before the designated departure time.

The bus driver should have allowed the passengers onto the cool bus rather than leave them to bake in the heat outside.
