Cemetery Research for Family History and Genealogy- Austintown

When: Thursday, March 19, 2020 - 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: Austintown Library at AU Meeting Room (Large)

Churchyards, graveyards and cemeteries are disposed to tell us much about our ancestors and how humans think about life, and the mystery of death.  But are cemeteries a permanent part of the landscape in family history research?  During the 21st century it is likely that dwindling land space, environmental concerns, the surge in non-burial options, and the availability of new technologies all will lead to significant changes in death rituals.  We will examine what this means for genealogy.  For adults and teens.  Registration is required by telephone 330-744-8636 or online via the Events Calendar.
