Charlie Wilson fails to vote on Tobacco Control Act

Once again, Charlie Wilson missed another important vote in Congress according to the Internet site, Mega-Votes:

Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act - Vote Passed (307-97, 30 Not Voting)

The House gave final passage to this bill granting the FDA regulatory authority over tobacco, sending it to the President.

Rep. Charlie Wilson voted Not Voting

The House agreed to the Senate amendment to H.R. 1256, to protect the public health by providing the Food and Drug Administration with certain authority to regulate tobacco products, to amend title 5, United States Code, to make certain modifications in the Thrift Savings Plan, the Civil Service Retirement System, and the Federal Employees' Retirement System.

Why did Charlie not vote? Is he in bed with Big Tobacco?

Again, why do we pay Charlie $174,000 a year if he won't vote? He has missed 3 votes in the last 2 weeks.

Charlie Wilson needs the boot in 2010!
