National Day of Prayer Downtown Youngstown Observance Thursday May 7th

thanks but no thanks. i believe in separation of church and state when it comes to this type of celebration in the city's government. are taxpayers' monies spent on this day that ought to go to city civic services instead of city sponsored religious civic services?

Thursday May 7th the City of Youngstown will be celebrating the National Day of Prayer with a Community Observance Downtown Youngstown on Central Square from 12:00 noon - 1:15pm with guest speaker Pastor Kathie Thomas (Pastor, Victory Christian Center)

Also, morning celebration will be held at 7:30-8:30am at Fifth Avenue Community Church 1361 5th Ave, Youngstown with special guest speaker the First Lady of Youngstown Sonja Williams.
Later in the day there will be a Youth Extravaganza from 6-8:30pm at Trinity United Methodist Church .
