DeWine to sign bill to start process of hemp decriminalization

The process to legalize regulated hemp growth in Ohio is set to begin Tuesday. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is expected to sign Senate Bill 57 Tuesday. The bill will direct the Ohio Department of Agriculture to begin drafting rules to regulate the licensing and processing of hemp. The bill, consistent with the 2018 federal Farm Bill, will also remove hemp from the controlled substances list.
