Will Cemeteries Die? Burial Rites and Genealogy- Boardman

When: Thursday, August 08, 2019 - 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: Boardman Library at BD Meeting Room (Large)

Cemeteries are valuable, seemingly permanent places to uncover genealogical information and local history.  But will they always be a part of the landscape in family history research?  During the 21st century it is likely that dwindling land space, environmental concerns, the surge in non-burial options, and the availability of new technologies all will lead to significant changes in death rituals.  We will examine what this means for genealogy.  Registration is required by calling the Information Services Department 330-744-8636, or online via the library’s events calendar. For adults & teens.
