Former East Palestine fire chief passes away

A former East Palestine fire chief, who served the department for nearly 30 years, has passed away. The fire department announced the sad news Tuesday on Facebook that retired Fire Chief Merle Stewart had passed away. Stewart served as East Palestine's fire chief from 1973 to 2002.
