Free smoke detectors provided to Newton Falls residents in light of recent tragedy

In response to Sunday's tragic fire, the Newton Falls Joint Fire District is teaming up with th American Red Cross to provide the residents of Newton Falls Township and Village with free smoke detectors.  The department said that anyone who is in need of a smoke detector is required to schedule an appointment ahead of time in order to have them installed.  The detectors cannot be picked up and must be installed by officials from the fire department.
