Penn Power installing devices to reduce outages

Penn Power is working to install 120 "Trip-Saver" devices on power lines across Mercer, Lawrence and Crawford counties.  FirstEnergy says the devices will reduce the number and length of outages. One of the things "Trip-Saver" can do is, sense when a tree limb is removed from a line, and automatically re-energize it to prevent an extended outage. These devices are especially useful to customers in rural and tree-filled areas.
