Considering buying a house in Youngstown.

Howdy,

This is my first post here.

Anyhow, I have been looking at a couple of properties for sale in the Idora neighborhood (Specifically WEST of Glenwood Avenue, between Glenwood and Mill Creek Park).

At any rate, I drove by and looked at some of these places, and it seems to be a nice neighborhood.  However I'm concerned about the scary neighborhood on the other side of Glenwood.  How bad is crime in the area?  I just read a post by someone talking about gangs of kids throwing bricks at passing cars!  Do I have much to worry about?  In other words, how bad IS that neighborhood on the other side of the street?
