Pay To Parade

Lets see, police has to barricade streets and manage traffic flow around events.  Also, garbage along parade route will have to be picked up.  I would find it unusual NOT to charge a fee.

I just did a quick check on the internet, and it seems some parades do charge a fee to particpate in the parade.......maybe to cover police, clean-up, etc.....

I learned about the upcoming Unity Day Parade today.  Businesses and politicians have to pay a fee to be in the parade.  Isn't that unusual?
