Austintown Schools District will now allow open enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year.
The board voted three to two to approve a recommendation to implement open enrollment for next school year.
Austintown's Superintendent hopes that by allowing students from across the state get an education in the district it will bring in more money for the school.
