The Mayor of Youngstown will probably appoint three of the existing WRTA board members to the new WRTA board.  This will allow for continuity.

The WRTA property tax is going to expire on December 31, 2008.  Keep in mind that property taxes are collected the year after they are assessed.  The WRTA should have property tax money into 2009 until the sales tax revenue starts to be received.

As of February 2, 2009, the WRTA will start returning services and bus routes which were cut during the last year.  When the .25% sales tax starts to be collected, new service will be extended throughout Mahoning County.
