GM applies for Chevrolet Cavalier trademark

General Motors is showing interest in a nameplate that is part of the history of the Lordstown Assembly Complex. The automaker has filed a trademark application for the name Chevrolet Cavalier. GM paid the $225 filing fee last week with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The application only indicates the trademark could be used with automobiles, sport utility vehicles, trucks, vans, engines and parts.
