Cupcake competition in Girard showcases local bakers

Local bakers competed in the first annual Cupcake Competition Fundraiser at the Metroplex Expo Center in Girard today.  Judging for the event was based on overall taste, originality, presentation, icing, and peoples choice.   The Montessori School of the Mahoning Valley held the event, which coincided with National Bake for Family Fun Month.  Attendees had access to the cupcake competition, decorating demonstrations, raffles and vendor booths.
