Is the property on an abandoned coal mine? 


Our neighborhood, off of Bears Den Road, is on an abandoned mine.  We frequently get small sinkholes in our yards.


Several years ago there was a large sinkhole on Normandy Drive caused by the abandoned mine.

A small sinkhole has formed in the tree lawn on South Hazelwood across from Chaney High School.
