The WRTA will soon place new bus stop signs on all fixed routes.

Riders will have to stand at a designated stop for pickup.  Fewer pickup stops should mean faster movement along a route.

The WRTA is trying to get patrons to use smart phone technology.  When a rider scans the code on the bus stop sign, an app will let them know how long it will take before the bus arrives at their stop.

Only about 50% of riders have smart phones.

I cannot understand what the WRTA is trying to accomplish or why.

Are they trying to have people to get to a stop on time instead of being picked up just anywhere?
Why hasn't that always been the way it's supposed to be done?
How will new signs be more effective than the current signs?
Does WRTA think that all the people that ride can afford a smart phone?
Does WRTA think all the people with a smart phone know how to use one?

Oh the questions caused by WRTA that I doubt the would bother answering.
