Happy 212th Birthday Youngstown

I have some ideas about this that I would like to discuss with you privately concerning things that we as a city could do.

That will end beginning next year. As this first 6 months on the job has been more learning than anything else for myself, now that I'm understanding how things work much better, we'll see more interesting things planned next year to include an annual Youngstown birthday party.

Today is Youngstown's 212th birthday. It was on this day in 1796 that John Young, Alfred Wolcott  and Phineas Hill began the work of laying out our beloved city.

It's sad that the powers that be have allowed this day to pass all but ignored.
