I don't believe Ohio cities are able to charge a city sales tax.

If Boardman and Austintown do become cities, how will it affect Youngstown?

[1] City residents working in Boardman and Austintown would be forced to pay a duel city Income Tax, one to Boardman or Austintown and one to Youngstown.

[2] A gun would be put to our collective heads and we'd be forced to pay city sales tax to Boardman and Austintown for all our purchases.

[3] There is no indication that either Boardman or Austintown would enter into an agreement with Youngstown like the one we have with Struthers and Campbell regarding income tax. Quite the contrary, they would dig in their heels and say "NEVER!"
