The Woodbine Apartments - Cleanup has begun

Cleanup operations began at the Woodbine apartment building
today.  I have already assembled a partial work crew composed entirely of people from right here in Youngstown
and things are going well.

There will be a steel dumpster dropped in front of the building early next week, so that some SERIOUS cleaning
out can take place.

I have already been visited by 20 or more people from the
neighborhood, and met some very nice folks from the North
Side.  The North Side Citizens Coalition even sent a
couple of folks to welcome me to the neighborhood, etc.

The yard around the apartment building has been cleaned
out and cut, etc and the place is already starting to
look better.  The boards are off the front doors of
the building and soon I will have the boards taken off
the windows and will be replacing them with plexiglass
shields, so that the building won't "look abandoned"
any more.  Several folks in the neighborhood have
even volunteered to keep watch on the building for me.

If you happen to be in the neighborhood, stop by the
corner of Woodbine and Bryson and say hello if you see
people working on the building.
