Results from Mahoning County OVI Task Force checkpoints

The Mahoning County OVI Task Force has released its results from checkpoints on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15. Friday's checkpoint was at 4545 New Road in Austintown from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Saturday's was at 5627 Mahoning Avenue in Austintown from 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. Officers said a total of 449 vehicles passed through the checkpoints.  According to police, 16 of those vehicles were directed to the diversion area for further investigation.
