Now we issue a challenge to the Mahoning Valley Republican Party and Mahoning Valley Democratic Party to put up a booth and support the festival.....

If the GOP has all these great young candidates running for state rep...come out and be seen!!!!

And Bob Hagan....buy some booth space and show off that $10,000 campaign donation check you took from "corrupt" Marc Dann....

If you have been reading the Downtown Forum you are aware the Federal Plaza Director's summer events' budget is in jeopardy.  One of the first victims of the budget problem may be the elimination of funding for the Community Street Festival scheduled for North Phelps Street on Saturday, July 19.

The sponsoring organization, The Pig Iron Literary and Art Works (a nonprofit), would still like to hold the festival but now must rely on the support of Youngstown area bloggers, organizations, businesses and individuals.  A way for us to help is to take out an ad in the Community Street Festival's program booklet which will be distributed to all attending the event.
