I would think someone related to, if not part of, the administration wrote the press release. It is completely possible they made a mistake. It's also possible that the press release was totally correct and the Vindicator got it wrong.

Today's newspaper indicates that Youngstown's Holiday Parade will be on Saturday, November 30.

November 30 is not a Saturday.   ???

November 30 is a Friday.
