That picture of trash is the result of the efforts of Jason Buday, John Kish, and Mark Memmer. A colaboration of Lansingville and S.I.D. Block Watches to clean up a culvert at the intersection of Hunter and Campbell streets. This was a prelude to the weekend clean up in which the city and the block watch collected two truck loads of tires and approximately eight truck loads of trash. Lansingville Block Watch sponsores two clean-ups a year, spring and fall.

This spring we were esecially proud to help some of our Marines whose mother lived in the neighborhood and had reciently passed away. Even though there was a lot of work involved, I thanked God for the opportunity to serve those who sacrifice for us.

Block Watch Cleans Up the South Side
Members of a south side block watch started to remove trash from their neighborhood during the annual clean up of the Lansingville area which takes place this weekend.  The large pile of debris in the photo below was retrieved from the ravine along Campbell Street.

Could someone from the block watch please give us a full account of the clean up following its completion?
