Lenny Strollo ... a mob kingpin will be getting out of the slammer in 2008, but given the fact that he squealed on his pals, there is little question of him coming back here any time soon.

The question is: What is your reaction to this report? Ever since the Feds cleaned out the Mob here our city officials have been trying to put that memory into a locked and sealed box, then put the box into a block of cement and bury it. Even if Strollo were to come back to our area, would he be welcomed? I doubt it, and certainly I wouldn't want to live anywhere near him.

All the other racketeers that were busted thanks to Strollo have either moved out of the area, or are still in the slammer. Now all we have to contend with are the petty mobster wanna be's that have driven up our murder rate just this past year almost higher than all the Mafia killings over the past 50 years.

If we were to total all the murders since 1999 they would far exceed the mob killings.
