Volney Rogers School - Mostly Demolished

By September 28, the last structural components had been removed.

With the bleachers removed, the locker room is now visible.

The demolition equipment is now on the gymnasium floor.  The bleachers are being removed.

In this photo, half of the gym has been demolished.  Notice the bleachers on the west side of the gym.

Maybe they're there, and I just can't see them, but there should be workers with hoses keeping the work area wet to keep the dust down.

The End Is Near
There are only a few more days left before Volney Rogers School is only a memory.

This is a photo of the demolition of Volney Rogers School on S. Schenley in Youngstown.  About two thirds of the building has been removed.  The gym and the classrooms to the south are all that remains of the school.  The building was constructed in 1960.
