County Jail

Tell me if I'm wrong, but according to this article http://www.vindy.com/content/local_regional/303652786785942.php the two County Jails will be fully open Wednesday, but according to the article, the bulk of the prisoners in the Main Jail will be Federal Prisoners ... so where will the local prisoners go if the maximum number that the Jail can house is around 570. Are violent criminals going to be set free once they reach the magic number? Heaven knows that there are plenty of local criminals that should be in the Jail, but to avoid another overcrowding case, it only stands to reason that they can't be housed in the Main Jail, and the Misdemeanor Jail isn't equipped to house dangerous felons.

Why, with a private prison here are so many being housed in th County Jail? Further, how many of the Federal Prisoners that will be housed in the County Jail are from this area, or under the local Federal Court's jurisdiction.
