Great idea ... no, a Very Great idea whose time has come. There is absolutely no excuse for properties to look like dumps because the people that live there are too lazy and shiftless to keep their properties up. Even those that rent houses should be held accountable. Because a person is renting is NO EXCUSE for living like pigs!

The Community Police Division of the Youngstown Police Department is circulating new Citywide Nuisance/Complaint Forms.  The forms are used to report various city violations.

* Yard waste/accumulation of junk, debris, trash, tree limbs or branches
* Grass/weeds over 10 inches high
* Tree or shrubs blocking sidewalks
* Indoor furniture/discarded furniture/appliances in yard, on porch, in public view
* Exterior of house needs extensive repair
* Vehicles parked on the grass in the front yard/other grassy areas/in the devil strip
* Unlicnesed, abandoned or inoperable vehicle on the property
* Suspicion of drug activity
* Suspicion of prostitution
* Loud music/vehicle playing loud music
* Vicious unleashed dogs or barking dogs
