Ohio Passenger Rail Hub May Include Youngstown

Don't hold your breath. There has been talk about this for the past twenty years. I can recall reading about a high speed rail system that was being talked about back in the 1980's, nothing ever came of it. If the Feds can not provide adequate funding for Amtrak how could the State afford to finance a railroad?

A meeting may be held in Youngstown in January or February to discuss whether Youngstown will be included in a state-wide passenger rail transporation plan being advanced by the Ohio Rail Development Commission.
