I just had a phone conversation with someone who went to this Meet and Ask.  This event was poorly attended.  There were many empty seats.  Only about 20 ward residents were in the audience.

This Thursday, October 15th, the 7WCC will conduct its annual Fall Candidates & Issues Forum in advance of the November general election.  The Forum will be held at Faith Community Covenant Church (corner of Midlothian and Sheridan Boulevards) at 6:30 p.m.

Candidates for the 7th Ward Member of Youngstown City Council and Youngstown Board of Education have been invited.  The organization also welc...omes supporters and opponents of the following ballot issues:

State Issue I - Bipartisan Redistricting Commission
State Issue 2 - Initiated Monopolies Amendment
State Issue 3 - Legalization of Marijuana
County Mental Health levy renewal
MCBDD levy renewal
Mill Creek Metroparks levy renewal & increase
Youngstown City Schools levy
Youngstown Community Bill of Rights Charter Amendment

Parties interested in speaking in support of or against any one of the above ballot issues are requested to send an email expressing interest along with contact information to info@7WCC.org.  Only one speaker in support and one speaker in opposition will be allowed for each ballot issue.  Each side will have two minutes to state its case.
