If you disapprove of this logging, it has been suggested that you contact the franciscan friars at 330-799-1888.

The logs are big enough to be milled for board lumber and could  bring in a  bigger profit than firewood.

Judging from the size of the logs they will probably be cut up into fire wood and sold for a hefty profit.

That was such a beautiful area. What a shame.

Many of the large logs were loaded onto a truck around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, November 30.

The area can be viewed from Price Road near S. Belle Vista.  The photo of the tree stumps does not give an accurate representation to the extent of the cutting.  Many large stumps were evident throughout the acreage and large tree limbs were on the ground everywhere.  The other photo shows the size of some of the logs.  Many of the trees were several feet in diameter.
