I can understand the car manufacturers and dealers wanting only qualified
technicians working on the critical safety systems in their vehicles, such
as the airbag and anti-lock braking systems, but the bottom line is that
people who buy and own cars have a right to fix it themselves, if they so wish.

I can also see the "slippery slope" side of the argument and why some people
might not trust dealerships.....especially at $75 an hour and up for labor charges.
