"Police said a man walked into a South Avenue bar, announced that there was a dead man in the parking lot next door, and then walked out...

Patrons and the owner of Pastime Tavern, 3321 South Ave., said they went outside and found the body of a man in a parking lot next to 3317 South Ave. and immediately called police... 

The death is the 22nd homicide of the year in the city, compared with 28 at this time last year."
