I hope GM is taking a serious look at L.N.G. powered vehicles - both hybrids and
those entirely fueled by natural gas.

WRTA buses could save a ton of money if they retrofitted their buses.  The cost
of the retro-fitting would probably be recovered fairly quickly.

I liked the article I read the other day about the natural gas/diesel hybrid locomotives
that are in development, too.  Maybe we'll see some kind of passenger/freight rail hub
emerge some day not too far down the road, as things ramp up in the oil and gas
industry here.

Yes, I would rather see the other end of the nozzle I stick in my fuel take coming from our own American land instead of coming from a foreign country who hate us.

I'm pretty sure Fiat in America will be primarily smaller cars, sold as both Fiats and Dodges. The Dodge truck line is now the Ram, still related to Fiat so maybe a CNG truck made in the USA is in your future.

Fiat has been authorized to open a dealership in Austintown yesterday and their website says they are going to introduce CNG vehicles.  In Europe, this product is a large percentage of the vehicles there, with 50% fuel cost and 50% carbon footprint.  Let me see, if they make a pickup and if I can put one of those NG pumps in my garage, I can bypass the gas stations and not contribute to Arab oil, wow!  I'm in!

Since the collapse of the steel mills in the 70's the Valley has been waiting for the next great industry to save us all.  Many of our leaders tried to stimulate progress with Youngstown 2000 and then Youngstown 2010.  We cried to the federal and State government to fund and create industry, wild ideas by dreamers were brought forth.  Blimp factories, floating casinos, Pentagon centers, indoor racetracks, etc., and still we have spiralled into last place.  Currently, a Renaissance of downtown Youngstown was proclaimed beginning with more liquor license, the B&O, Anthony's on the river, Bean counter and the Rossetta Stone, all have failed and we scratch our heads.  Nothing seems to work but institutions that are heavily subsidized, the private sector businesses still are a fraction of the employment that exist today.

"Alas!" a white Knight has rode in to save us all!  This Knight brings good tidings of prosperity and is not an illusion like what we have been fed before.  Private investment, commerce and new technology are the presents laid before us.  In the next few months and for years to come the Valley will once again see prosperity on the scale of the great steel mills.  Transportation will boom with jobs for trucking, trains and aviation, manufacturing will expand with raw material being in great demand.  Jobs will be available for those who want to work and these jobs will have a domino effect with more jobs just to service the primary ones.  Population will not drain but experience a reversal, with innovative immigration from everywhere.  Housing will again be in demand to house the workers that would be flooding the area to take advantage of the bargains.  Vacant land will become productive again which will cause the title holders to generate tax revenue once again.  The auto industry will switch gears and begin to produce vehicles with 50% of fuel cost and carbon footprint, and the fuel source will no longer come from across the globe where our way of life is dispised.  All the vacant abandoned land will fetch a high price and will also become productive with advanced agriculture.

No, this is not a dream, it is happenning right now, get educated, "Long live free enterprise!"
