You can bet that the bulk of it would go to Communist China and we would get back knock off handbags, DVD's and sneakers made by slave labor that would be sold at Wal-Mart.

If Ryan is for it than there is a 90% probability that there is something wrong with it.......

Precisely how much of this new found natural gas is already on line to domestic consumers right now?

If the gas companies can make a ton of money selling  their gas via export, what will that do to the amount that is available domestically, and what will that do to the cost to the domestic consumer?

Ryan and Johnson are concerned about good paying jobs, and that is good, but nothing is said about the effect that it would have on domestic consumers, and that is not good.

Will we see domestic prices go up as more of the natural gas is exported, and the amount available for domestic consumption goes down?

No one has given us a definitive amount of natural gas is available (and I realize that this is not possible) so how do we know that we can sustain exporting huge quantities of natural gas without it having a negative effect on domestic consumption.

Foreign companies buying our natural gas are going to demands long term contracts with us, and the amount will grow as demand increases.

So far all we have available to us are rough estimates to go by and that can change over time.

The appearance of USA natural gas on the world market may result in a worldwide spot price decrease but will result in a domestic price increase.  We should promote lower gas prices domestically as a hook to attract foreign investment to build their plants here.  We do not have low labor cost, we do not have lower taxes.  All we have to compete with is lower energy costs.

The wholesale exportation of LNG would be an extremely shortsighted move.

The global politics in energy must be studied before we all jump to conclusions.
First of all,  foreign billions have been invested into Ohio and its landowners and industry.  They want ROI like any free enterprise.  The Russians and Arabs are the largest exporter of NG and are getting $17 to $20 on the spot global market, in America fracking has been so successful we pay $3.  The Russians and Arabs are in terror that we will start exporting our new found wealth.  America now is the sleeping giant in the energy world.  We have the energy and we have the technology that the rest of the world is trying to copy.  We have seen this before and it has made America weak when we give our technology away.  We must make our stand with this energy and market it to the world, if anything Mr. Spisak, it will clean up the earth by 50%.

TT...the whole industry wants to do this! Their pitch of energy independence is pure BS to get folks to sign over drilling rights....

Wee Timmy Ryan and little Billy Johnson wants to peddle our natural gas to foreigners.
