oy and other oc throughout the country wanted to bring awareness about the injustices being brought onto the 99 percent. i see no harm done by occupiers.

Why?Town

Fist Night being only ONE night might have something to do with it.

I'm sure if the first night barrels were still smoking all week the wheels of justice, er,, I mean enforcement would have been put into action.

First Night is an event for the benefit of Youngstown and its citizens.  Occupy Youngstown is done with the intent of harming Youngstown.  Contrary to what you think, many of us actually love our city.

Well, I guess one should make a trip downtown to see if the proper permits were obtained...if there is such a thing as burn barrel permits....

It's called the Ohio Fire Code, City Ordinances, and obtaining the proper permits.  So yea, in a sense politics...but you can't just throw a barrel out without the permits.  I only hope they obtained the permits, but with it being city involved event...I'm sure all permits fall into that category.

I noticed the organizers of First Night Youngstown were allowed to have several fire barrels throughout the downtown area so folks could keep warm....

Why did the city fathers allow fire barrels at first night when the city fathers sent the fire and police departments to put out and confiscate the fire barrel used by the Occupy Youngstown group?

Why the double standard?
