I had a paper route as a young teen. Delivered every day and had papers delivered in time for church on Sunday. And unlike today every paper landed on the porch. Or if requested was placed inside the screen door. Ask for that today and see how far it'll get you.....

There are days I cannot find my paper, and one day it was on the roof.....

Also, did not most of the paperboy's quit and or were not hired back after the stike a few year's ago?

But going to a morning paper did do away with young paper boys and girls.....

It changed when the Vindy went from an afternnon to a morning paper.  The Vindy doesn't always get the paper out early enough for kids to deliver the paper before going to school.

My son was a paperboy from 1998 thru early 2004. He dropped the paper route for other reasons. It was sometime after that the Vindy changed to morning delivery, I belive after the strike at the newspaper.

There was a time when an young boy or young girl would deliver my newspaper.  This hasn't the case for many years now.  Adults driving cars now deliver my daily newspaper.

Is your newspaper delivered by a youngster or an adult?
